What exactly does SEO do?

SEO makes your site findable on Google searches without paying per click. It works on three levels: technical (speed, security, mobile readability), content (pages that answer the questions your prospects type), and reputation (links and mentions from other sites). A visitor who arrives through a search has already described a need: they typed "plumber in Touggourt" or "accounting course in Algiers". SEO positions your site on those queries. It is not a one-time fix: Google reassesses sites continuously, so the work continues.

What do paid ads do?

Google Ads places your ad at the top of search results; Meta Ads places it in Facebook, Instagram and Messenger feeds. You choose the area (a wilaya, a city, a radius), the age, the interests, and you pay per click or impression. Everything is controllable: daily budget, dates, audiences. But the effect is rented: when the campaign stops, the visibility stops with it. Ads do not improve your position in organic results; Google says so explicitly.

How fast do results come?

Ads: the same day or within a few days, once the campaign and audience are approved. SEO: Google states that some changes take effect in a few hours and others in several months, and recommends waiting a few weeks before assessing. In practice, on a healthy Algerian site, first improvements appear in 4 to 8 weeks, and solid rankings take 4 to 6 months of steady work. That delay is the price of traffic that keeps coming when you stop paying.

What does it cost with Somu Raqami?

Our SEO starting rates: full site audit from 12,000 DA, technical and content fixes from 25,000 DA, monthly follow-up from 10,000 DA. For ads, the budget is your decision: you set the daily or monthly cap, and Google and Meta bill you within that limit. There is no universal "right budget"; a tightly targeted campaign with a small envelope can pay off, and a broad, poorly targeted one can burn a large budget. Our role on campaigns is management: targeting, ad copy, monitoring, within the envelope you approve.

When should you run both?

Three situations: at launch (ads bring the first customers while SEO builds up), on a seasonal offer (sales, back to school, Ramadan: ads switch on visibility within 48 hours; SEO cannot match that pace), and in a competitive market (ads compensate for the time SEO needs to climb). The most profitable combination is asymmetric: ads fund the business today, SEO reduces the need for ads tomorrow.

Where to start this week?

With an SEO audit. Even if you plan to spend on ads first, the audit shows the real state of your site before you send paid traffic to it: a slow page or a site unreadable on mobile wastes part of every advertising dinar. You also learn which keywords Algerians actually search for, which serves ads and SEO alike. Then decide using the table below.
